Aline MacMahon in Gold Diggers of 1933
I saw her for the first time last night in this and she is OUTSTANDING.
Aline MacMahon was my favorite gal in Gold Diggers of 1933 (I also thought she was the most beautiful. Maybe because she was the only one with eyebrows.) I particularly loved this outfit. The print on it (and on a couple other pieces in the film) reminded me of some Wiener Werkstätte prints.

The Gentlemen in 1931
Nice photo. So I took a moment to do a Google image search. It’s by African American photographer Richard Samuel Roberts, who spent the 1920s and 1930s documenting the African American community of South Carolina via photography. Some more info/photos here.
